This is the paintings section. And its me here, artist_on_a_mend.    Intrigued? Amused? Wondering why that of all names? Well, to be truthful, I am not too sure myself. The name simply happened. Maybe out of some deeper necessity to heal, to reform! More of that follows. But for lovers of paintings only, lets move on to Faith....    Oh! So you didn't move on. Many thanks, you are equally welcome here. Perhaps a painting is better appreciated when there's a glimpse of what went behind its creation.   Now about the artist_on_a_mend ....   In a previous life I had been a dentist - a graduate from Calcutta University. Thats the place of my birth, way back in early '70s. My parents were surgeons and I had a lot to look up to. Maybe in trying to live upto an example, I forgot what the real me was all about. I did well in studies, and perhaps to satisfy that deeper aesthetic craving aimed to be a cosmetic surgeon. Especially for people who had had some acquired disfigurement. I was awarded a fellowship and went on to England to pick up some additional experience. and a different realisation changed my life. All of that in here.... Otherwise, onwards to Faith
